Updates From the CLUBS
The head coach of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets believes that playing Young Africans is good preparation for the next CAF Champions League.
On Thursday, as Malawi celebrates its 59th year of independence, the People’s Team will face the Tanzanian champions in an international friendly match at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
“It’s an opportunity for us [to play in the CAF Champions League this summer],” Pasuwa told the media following the team’s training session in Lilongwe on Wednesday afternoon.
“Remember, we have a lot of young people entering the system. They also need to see how the Champions League or even the Confederation Cup are played because our opponents were recently involved in international games. They are a seasoned team from which our boys can learn and take one or two things.
“We have some experienced guys, but we also need to see things from the other side.” “When we came [here in Lilongwe], we played Simba in a competitive game, which was the first time for most of the guys, and I think this will be good for them to feel the heat of [international matches],” he stated.
