CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe extends congratulations to newly-elected IOC President Ms. Kirsty Coventry

The President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, has warmly congratulated Ms. Kirsty Coventry on her historic election as the new President of the International Olympic Committee (“IOC”).

Ms. Coventry, who currently serves as Zimbabwe’s Minister of Youth, Sport, Art, and Recreation, has broken new ground by becoming both the first African and the first woman to hold the prestigious position of IOC President. Her remarkable leadership, dedication to sport, and tireless efforts in promoting youth development and inclusion have earned her international respect and admiration.
