Lesotho vs Zimbabwe: Match Preview

The spotlight turns to the field as Lesotho and Zimbabwe renew their rivalry in the Africa World Cup Qualification Group Stage, a year after their last meeting that ended with Lesotho taking a 0-2 win. This fixture presents an opportunity for both teams to end their disappointing qualifying runs on a positive note.

Lesotho come into the clash on a worrying run of form, having suffered defeats to Nigeria, Benin, South Africa, Namibia, and Angola in their recent matches. Their lack of consistency and struggles in front of goal have left them searching for confidence as they face a familiar opponent.

Zimbabwe, meanwhile, arrive with slightly better momentum after holding South Africa to a draw last Friday. However, defensive issues continue to trouble them, as they’ve conceded goals in four consecutive away games.
