Season 2023/2024 Saudi Pro League
The premier Saudi professional league for association football clubs, which was founded in 1976, will be in its 48th season with the 2023–24 Saudi Professional League (also known as the Roshn Saudi League for sponsorship reasons).
The season is slated to begin on August 14, 2023, and end on May 20, 2024.
After winning their ninth championship last year, Al-Ittihad is the reigning champion. The four promoted clubs are Al-Ahli, Al-Hazem, Al-Okhdood, and Al-Riyadh. They took the place of Al-Adalah and Al-Batin, who were demoted to the Yelo League for 2023–24.

The Saudi FF declared on April 14th, 2022, that starting with the 2023–24 season, there would be 18 teams.
2023/2024 Saudi Pro League Teams
The top 14 clubs from the previous season and the 4 teams promoted from the FD League will make up the league’s 18 teams.
Promoted Teams to the 2023/2024 Saudi Pro League
Al-Ahli became the first team to be promoted on May 5, 2023, after Al-Faisaly and Najran drew 2-2. They defeated Al-Qadsiah 1-0, and as a result, they were declared winners. After an absence of a season, Al-Ahli will return to the top division of Saudi football for their 47th season.
Al-Okhdood became the second club to be promoted on May 15, 2023, following Al-Faisaly’s 2-2 tie with Jeddah. For the first time ever, Al-Okhdood will compete in the top division of Saudi football. Al-Okhdood joined the Saudi Pro League as the 37th team to play since it began.
Al-Riyadh was promoted as the third club after defeating Al-Orobah 1-0 at home on May 16, 2023. For the first time since being demoted in the 2004–05 season, Al-Riyadh is back in the top division. Al-Riyadh will compete in their 24th season in the top division.
Al-Hazem, the fourth and last team to be promoted, did so after defeating Al-Sahel 3-2 on May 17, 2023.[8] Al-Hazem will return to the Saudi Premier League after a season away, where they will compete in their tenth season.
Teams demoted to the FD League
Al-Batin was the first team to be demoted after losing 1-0 against Al-Ittihad on the road on May 23, 2023.[9] After spending three years in the top division, Al-Batin were demoted.
Al-Adalah was the second and last team to be demoted after losing to Al-Ettifaq 2-0 at home on the last day of play.[10] After only a single season in the top division, Al-Adalah was demoted.
